Old Union Street , Airdrie
This development started on site in February 2008 and is due for completion in July 2009. The development comprises 20 very sheltered units for frail elderly provision, 6 amenity and 1 wheelchair unit. The frail elderly units will be transferred to another Housing Association specialising in this type of provision.
Bulldale Road , Yoker
Was completed this year, the development comprises of 44 new homes including 20 very sheltered. The remaining units include elderly amenity and mainstream family homes.The Association is working in partnership with Crossreach for the provision of care at the very sheltered complex which has fantastic views over the River Clyde and Renfrew Ferry.
Dornal Avenue , Yoker
Due for completion March 2007, the development will comprise 29 new homes including 20 frail elderly units and 9 mainstream family units.
Phase 7 Camlachie
This development started on site early 2008 and will comprise of 76 new homes including some for wheelchair users and continues the regeneration of the Camlachie area, improving the quality of life for our existing tenants.
Phase 7B (School Site) Camlachie
This development comprises of 30 new homes, 10 for Homestake, a low cost home ownership initiative- these properties will face onto London Road. This development will be included within the programme for the Phase 7 site and will complete the Camlachie regeneration, except the vacant site at Fielden Street.
David Street , Gallowgate
Started on site early 2008, this development comprises of 55 new homes including 1 suitable for wheelchair use. This development will rehouse GHA tenants whose current homes are scheduled for demolition. Work on site is progressing well.
Gallowgate Phase 2
This development is due to start on site at the beginning of 2009, at present it will comprise of 36 flatted units and will include a play area.
Turriff Street Glasgow
Following the demolition of a dilapidated tenement building, West of Scotland H.A. Ltd will be pleased to provide 24 newbuild units for rent at Turriff Street in Glasgow’s South Side. The 1 & 2 bedroomed flatted properties will provide modern housing for mainstream and wheelchair tenants and will contribute towards the upgrading of this area. The project us due to start on site January 2009 with completion anticipated for early 2010.
