Description
Fernhill is less than 3 miles from the centre of Rutherglen and was completed in 2009. This was a major regeneration project and homes were built to house existing South Lanarkshire tenants who were losing their homes due to the demolition programme. Phase 1 of the project was completed in 2009. The properties are a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5 apartment cottage flats and houses, and all have gas central heating and double glazing. It is too early to indicate the turnover of properties in this area.
There are good bus links within Fernhill to Rutherglen town centre where there are further services to the main towns in South Lanarkshire and Glasgow.
Rutherglen train station has links to several major towns in South Lanarkshire, Motherwell and Glasgow
