Service Charges.

On many of our houses we have a charge which will cover services.
These can cover: -

• Maintaining communal landscaped or grassed areas 
• Stair lighting 
• Communal electricity supplies 
• Communal area window cleaning 
• Back court maintenance
• Property maintenance costs of common areas at sheltered housing
  

We set a charge that simply covers the actual cost of providing the service with a very small management fee.  Service charges can also be covered by Housing Benefit for those tenants that qualify.
