Welfare Rights
To help tenants to get as much help with their finances as possible, the Association employs a Welfare Rights Officer. This Officer will provide advice on any benefits you might qualify for and help you to apply for them. The Welfare Rights Officer can also help to put in appeals and will attend tribunals with you if necessary.
This is a very useful service. If you think that the Welfare Rights Officer may be able to help you, please contact your Area Office or the Welfare Rights team directly by e-mailing either eleanor.falconer@westscot.co.uk or irene.simpson@westscot.co.uk . You can also call directly on 0141 630 4012 or 0141 630 4007.
If you want advice or assistance about money problems or debts from someone who does not work for the Association, then you should contact the Citizens or Money Advice Bureau. The Social Work Department or Department of Works and Pensions may also be able to help.
