Potential New Sites

Dalmilling, Ayr

This council owned site adjacent to Dalmilling Primary School is subject to discussions with South Ayrshire Council to secure the site for further affordable housing in South Ayrshire.

Site Investigations are underway with acquisition anticipated 09/10 and site start to be agreed with funders.

Project proposals will be worked up to provide a suitable mix of family accommodation it hoped will compliment our existing stock in the area.  

Greenan, Ayr

Initial proposals are for 120-130 units as part of a larger 450 unit site owned by McTaggart and Mickel.  The units are likely to split across 2 or 3 sites within the larger masterplan area.  The social rented element is as a result of South Ayrshire Council’s Affordable Housing Policy, the timing of the delivery of these units is dependent on the Developers ability to make a site start.

Lochside Road, Ayr

We are currently in discussions with South Ayrshire Council and Scottish Government about taking this site forward.  A Section 75 agreement is in place requiring a proportion of social housing to be developed on the site and West of Scotland have been named as the Housing Association to take this forward.  Initial proposals are looking at 28 flats and 6 houses – sizes yet to be confirmed.

Camlachie: Phase 9, Glasgow

This is the site of our new East End Office which will become the new Headquarters for the Association.  The proposal is for a 3 storey building.  The planning application and building warrant have both been submitted to Glasgow City Council and we await feedback.  An outline programme is targeting an Autumn site start, depending on statutory consents.
